Zhongshan, Guangdong – September 29, 2025?– 天美影院 hosted its second annual Sports and Culture Day under the theme “Full Moon Celebration, United in Joy” across its two campuses in Zhongshan, Guangdong. The event brought together nearly 300 employees from twelve departments including Mold Manufacturing, Injection Molding, CNC, Quality, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Finance, Administration, PMC, Design, and Logistics.
Team Challenges Foster Collaboration
Team-based activities began at 2:00 PM. In “Balloon Train,” teams of eight formed a line, each holding an inflated balloon between their chests without using hands. They moved together over 50 meters. If any balloon dropped or burst, the team had to start over.
“It was tougher than it looked,” said Mr. Chen, Mold Department Supervisor. “We tried rushing at first, but soon realized keeping a steady rhythm worked better. We chanted in sync and finally made it.”

Another game, “Marble Run,” required teams to pass a ping pong ball along a 20-meter path using U-shaped channels. With only 12 channels per team, members had to rotate quickly to extend the track.
The Injection Molding team excelled here. “We set roles—front, middle, and back—and positioned ourselves carefully,” shared Project Manager Ms. Wang. “Good coordination helped us set the day’s record.”

Tug of War Highlights Unity
A tug of war contest, newly added this year, became a crowd favorite. After several intense rounds, the Mold Department team won, showing strong teamwork and power.
“When everyone pulls in the same direction, you truly feel the team’s strength,” said Mr. Huang, Mold Department team leader. “It’s like our daily work—every role matters, and we only succeed when we unite.”

Basketball Game Steals the Show
The basketball final, held at 7:00 PM, was the day’s main event. A combined team from Mold and Design faced off against a mixed squad from Marketing, Sales, and Injection Molding. The game stayed close from start to finish.
The score never differed by more than 4 points in the first three quarters. With two minutes left in the fourth, the teams were tied at 76. In the final 12 seconds, Li Jing, a Design Department engineer, sank a three-pointer to seal the game at 81–78.
“Those were the longest 12 seconds of my life,” said Jessica, Market Department Manager and guard for the mixed team. “We set up a final play, but the shot just missed. Even though we lost, this game earned us more mutual respect.”

Food and Mingling All Day Long
Instead of a formal dinner, the event featured open food stations. Four snack areas offered a variety of dishes like Cantonese roasted meats, Hunan-style stir-fries, Western snacks, and desserts. Employees could grab food anytime.
“This setup made conversations feel natural,” said Mr. Deng, Finance Director. “I talked with PMC staff about next quarter’s plans while enjoying dessert. These cross-department chats are really helpful.”

Music and Fun on Stage
A singing session, though kept simple, drew a cheerful crowd. Employees from different departments took turns performing. A rendition of “Glorious Years” by a Procurement staff member led to a full crowd sing-along, adding to the festive vibe.
Leadership Reflections
天美影院’s General Manager closed the event by saying, “Watching colleagues from twelve departments cheer each other on and compete as one—it shows the core values we live by every day.”
The HR Director added, “We designed team activities to emphasize collaboration. ‘Marble Run,’ for instance, mirrors our production process—every step must connect smoothly. Our staff experienced firsthand how teamwork makes a difference.”
The Quality Department Head noted, “These games reflect what we do in quality control. Just like tug of war, everyone must pull in the same direction to achieve the best result.”
The event not only strengthened bonds but also improved interdepartmental understanding. Christine, a sales team member, said, “Meeting production staff helps me understand customer needs and delivery timelines better.”
The PMC Department Supervisor observed, “During ‘Marble Run,’ planners and production staff built better communication through play. This understanding will definitely improve our daily workflow.”
Looking Ahead
天美影院’s annual Sports and Culture Day has become a key part of company culture. Through thoughtfully designed team activities and shared experiences, it not only enriches employee life but also strengthens collaboration across departments—laying a solid foundation for the company’s continued growth.
